DAY 1: DEPARTURE FROM NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA NATIONAL PARK

Distance: Distance: 229km, 6 hours 19 min (best experience by Road), Flight: 45 minutes to 1 hour

Safari starts at Nairobi – Ends at Nairobi or Arusha – We’ll pick you up from the airport or your hotel.

Morning Hours, pick up from your Nairobi Hotel / Nairobi Airport / Private Residence/ Air BnB Residence.

Commence the safari journey to Maasai Mara Game reserve, Kenya’s finest wildlife haven. The Mara road safari is via the central highlands of Kenya with views of subsistence farmlands and local communities.

Along the Safari route: There shall be stops to view interesting attractions including the Great Rift Valley Escarpments.

DAY 2: FULL DAY AT THE MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza! The Mara is popularly known and remains to be the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world. It is host to the highest and varied concentration of wild animals than any other park in the region. Furthermore, it is one of the most famous and important wildlife conservation and wilderness areas in Africa, world-renowned for its exceptional populations of lion, leopard, cheetah and African bush elephant. Maasai Mara National Reserve is known to host the Great Migration, which secured it as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, and as one of the ten Wonders of the World.

The scenic appeal of this tree studded savannah plains, its moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.

We shall traverse the reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. A picnic lunch by the Mara river can as well be accommodated as you enjoy watching hippos & crocodiles or maybe the Great Migration (between July and October)

Overnight shall be at your Maasai Mara safari lodge/ tented camp.

 Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 3: MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE– LAKE VICTORIA (270 KMS: 5 – 6 HRS WITH STOPS)

Morning Game viewing drive at the Maasai Mara. Later depart Maasai Mara and proceed to the Lake Victoria in Tanzania. The drive will be via the Isebania Kenya / Tanzania border town.  Meet Tanzania vehicle and driver guide at Isebania border after clearing with the Immigration & Customs procedures. Drive to the South-Eastern bay of Lake Victoria.  Arrive at your lodge late afternoon. Relax on the shores of this lake which is rich in history. The breeze is refreshing. If you have time, you may explore the Bunda Market. 

(Bunda Market) - A typical market place alive with the daily hustle and bustle of Tanzanian residents. It is the One-stop shop for fresh vegetables, fish and beef, organically grown fruits (African Farmer’s Market), a variety of African designed shoes, clothes and sandals for the open-minded tourist to experience the African way of Fashion)

DAY 4: LAKE VICTORIA, TANZANIA TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

 Distance: 214 kms: Approx. 3 hours by Road

After breakfast, you shall visit a nearby Fishing Village in the company of a local guide. Among other things, you will learn lots about traditional Fishing techniques, selling mode of fresh Fish and the general rural life. Thereafter, drive into the nearby Serengeti which shares the same ecosystem with the Maasai Mara game reserve.  

It is well located for wild game viewing. At high note, you shall notice that Ideally, Maasai Mara is the smaller extension of the Serengeti. Then later, Drive back to your chosen lodge or tented camp for an evening relaxation.

DAY 5: SERENGETI GAME RESERVE

A full day game viewing drive as we explore this vast nature endowed wildlife Reserve. Options of morning and afternoon or full day game viewing sessions are available to you. The annual wildebeest migration is Serengeti’s most famous attraction planned to be viewed throughout the day. 

The Serengeti National Park is also home to a pride of its lions, which have been fitted with radio transmitter collars to closely monitor their movements around the park. Other wildlife you may see includes cheetah, zebra, giraffe, Thompson and Grant’s gazelle, Eland, Impala, Klipspringer, Hippo and Warthog.

DAY 6: DEPARTURE FROM SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO NGORONGORO CRATER

Distance: 180 kms (110 miles), approx. 3 to 6 hours by road

Depart the Serengeti with a game viewing drive en-route. We shall descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing in this unique caldera park. At this point, look out for Rhinos, Lions, Elephants, Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalos and Hippos.

Later on, we shall ascend to the crater rim to catch a glimpse of the most magnificent sunset views in Africa! Then return to your Lodge or Tented camp for an evening relaxation.

Overnight at your Ngorongoro crater Safari Lodge or Tented Camp.

 Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Prepare for departure from your Lodge early morning to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy sunrise views from the crater rim. The afternoon game drive will give you a chance to see different types of wildlife who inhabit this small but beautiful park. Drive back to the Lodge.

Overnight stay at your Tarangire Safari Lodge or Tented Camp.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

DAY 8: DEPATURE FROM TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA OR NAIROBI CITY

Prepare for early morning breakfast. Check out of the lodge or tented camp with short game viewing drives towards the main gate exit as you proceed to Nairobi via the Tanzania / Kenya, Namanga border town. Optional drop off in Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport.

Later, Arrive Nairobi in the early evening.

Distance: Tarangire – Arusha – 160 Km – approx. 3 hours                   Tarangire – Nairobi – 420 km – approx. 7 hours
